As a working mom with a fondness for cooking and mathematica, I was basically made for budgeting meals. There once was a time when I actually traded food preparation services for babysitting services. I think I got the better end of the bargain, personally.
So here I am, 31 years old, divorced, and raising 3 kids. I have to cook on a budget of both money and time. If a meal is cheap but takes 2 hours away from my kids, it isn't worth it to me. If a meal is fast but costs as much as "I may as well have ordered delivery", then that isn't worth it, either. So I have to find the middle ground. Again, I got skillz.
So this blog is going to be split into two types of posts: The first type, published every Monday and Friday, will be actual meals that I prepare for my family. The other type, published every Wednesday, will be tips on where and how to buy affordable healthy food. Publishing schedule may change if I find that I can't shut up. Which has been known to happen to me.
